Accessible Kitchens

Has anyone had experience with a variable height bench in a kitchen that can be the right height for more than one user of the kitchen? I have information on an electrical lift system that I hope to use for a sink and counter top that a wheelchair user and ambulatory person of average height can both use.

Any other ideas on how to do this are welcome.
