nternal access to the newly enlarged bathroom area has been made possible by moving the wardrobe to wall B and by removing the old air conditioning unit so a new doorway with a 800 mm wide cavity sliding door could be installed into wall D. The new doorway is wide enough to permit wheelchair access and the bathroom floor has been raised to permit level access from the bedroom.

Intervention Particulars:

Bathroom wall has been pushed out to increase circulation space and hot water system has been replaced. This has resulted in a decrease in circulation space in the garage space and some furniture had to be removed to accomodate changes. However, garage is still large enough to accomodate 2-3 cars. Other modifiucations of note is that the false ceiling of the adjoining bathroom has been raised so it is now level with garage ceiling this also has the effect of a reduction in available storage space but as this space was not being utilised this is not of significance to the family.
