What is the Information Clearinghouse?

The Clearinghouse is a web-based facility that aims to support home modification decision-making, and to provide effective and efficient design interventions through improved access to current and relevant information. In addition to documents and publications produced by the HMInfo team or information submitted by our users, the Clearinghouse also provides links to other useful national and international websites.

This project is funded by the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care for Home Modification and Maintenance service coordinators, occupational therapists, builders, subcontractors and their consumers.

What are the benefits of registering?

REGISTRATION IS FREE While most of the site is available for viewing without the need of registering or logging on, there are many benefits available to those who choose to register. They will be able to keep track of their past activities and searches, find people with common interests of similarly located and add them to a "buddy list" where they can easily contact them. Registered users may also subscribe to receive a quarterly newspaper, regular updates, notifications of new items and news in specific area of interest. One of the more important features of registration is the ability to submit various items in different sections of the website. General disability access and home modification publications can be submitted, as well as, case studies, forum topics, images and even videos.
